Shift Overseas Expansion – The Grand Opening of Thailand Plant 2024

Shanghai Shift Electrics Co., Ltd. actively responded to the national "Belt and Road" initiative by implementation of strategic planning in Southeast Asia, which demonstrates the responsibility of Chinese private enterprises in the new era. 

In the morning on July 9th, 2024, following the local traditional customs, Shanghai Shift Electrics held a grand opening ceremony in Chonburi, Thailand. Mr. Goja Xu, Chairman of Shift, and Mr. David Dai, General Manager, delivered opening speeches respectively. Representatives from various departments of Shanghai Shift Electrics and all employees of the Thai factory witnessed the important moment together. After the ceremony, every employee received a red packet. Employees from both countries got together happily and enjoyed a welcome buffet.

The establishment of the Thai factory is an important milestone in the global strategic layout of Shanghai Shift Electrics, and it is also a solid guarantee for Shift to provide high-quality products and services to global customers. At the same time, the commissioning of the Thai factory will also provide Shift with more development opportunities, expanding the proportion of revenue from overseas business, increasing the influence and competitiveness of Chinese companies in the international supply chain.

In the speech, Mr. David Dai emphasized we must comply with Thailand’s laws and regulations, respect the culture here. With a combination of local labor and raw material resources and the technical support of Shanghai Shift, we are committed to making good products. Based on Southeast Asia and face to Europe and North America, we will take fully advantage of ‘Made in Thailand’ and create strategic values for global customers.

Mr. Goja Xu expressed his sincere gratitude to the employees who participated in the construction of the Thai factory. The opening of the Thai factory on schedule was a great teamwork of employees from both countries. At the meantime, Shift has contributed to the tax increment and employment opportunities in Thailand, playing a positive role in promoting the local economy growth, personnel training and community development.

Mr. Xu concluded Shift will take the Thai factory as a new chapter to continuously expand the international market and enhance the brand's influence and competitiveness in the global supply chain. We will continue to increase R&D investment, promote technological innovation and product optimization, and provide global customers with more high-quality, efficient and exclusive products and services.
